General Terms and Conditions


By making a purchase with us, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
It is your own responsibility to ensure that you are fully aware of all of these terms and conditions when making a purchase from Budaörs Antik®
These terms and conditions can be altered at any time, so you should read them every time you make a purchase on this website.
We do require cleared payment of goods before they are delivered or shipped to you.

Item description, condition

Please remember that the items for sale on this website have been used and, some of which are almost two hundred years old. Although they are fully restored and of merchantable quality, they may have faint scratches, minor stress cracks due to age and use. Please view the photographs to accept the condition of each piece. Whilst we commit to photographing all flaws and describing all items as accurately as possible and would never mislead customers intentionally, please remember that descriptions are formulated in the opinion of an individual and are therefore subjective. Paying for your purchase

Hungarian customers can pay by the following methods:

*We are currently setting up our new online store including PayPal and credit card payment facilities which should be available to our Customers by the end of 2015. Currently you can pay via Direct Bank Transfer from your bank to ours or cash if you have selected the "collect at store feature" whereupon payment will be taken when you collect your item(s). We accept tranfers/payments in € only.

Payment is taken from your card instantly through PayPal unless you have selected the "collect at store feature" whereupon payment will be taken when you collect your item(s).
We do not store your credit card information. It is processed over a secure SSL/256 bit encryption system, which goes through the payment provider PayPal. We do not even see that, therefore it cannot be 'hacked' from our server.

The Contract

On occasion, an item may be mis-priced. If you purchase a mis-priced item, we reserve the right to cancel the contract and re-list the product at the correct price.
We reserve the right to cancel any order at any time prior to delivery, for any reason. No contract of sales exists until our sales office verifies your order, and the order status is set to "Verified". Our initial order status, "Processed" does not 
mean that a contract of sale is in place. This only means that the order has been successfully received into our system.
From there on, validity and verification must take place before the contract of sale exists.
The contract made between us through any transaction is governed by the laws of Hungary. However everything has been accurately translated the only legally binding version of this document is the Hungarian one. Therefore the English is an uncertified translation, is not binding and is for your convenience only.

Privacy policy

We only store necessary information required to make a purchase. Your credit card information is NOT stored by us
 and is always processed across a secure server, using PayPal as the online payment provider.
We do not sell or lease any of your personal information. All information left with Budaörs Antik® is entirely confidential.
You have the option to subscribe to our newsletter at the checkout, and this information is not used for any purpose.


Your IP is logged when placing an order. This is for reasons of fraud protection. All orders are scanned strictly for fraud by our fraud department before they are shipped. If you specify a different shipping address to the billing address then your order may take longer as we have to perform the necessary checks. Fraudulent orders will be submitted to the appropriate authorities.

Shipping & Delivery

Purchased items are usually dispatched within 10-20 days depending on the target country and the shipment method. This is only estimate - please allow up to 20 working days for furniture to be properly delivered.
The delivery estimate for each item is stated on the product details screen. Although we endeavor to strictly adhere to this delivery estimate, during extremely busy periods it may not be possible to meet these deadlines. In these cases you will be notified by email. Should this happen, you have the right to either continue with the order or cancel it.
Every order shipped by Budaörs Antik® requires a signature upon delivery. Parcels cannot be left without signatures. If you miss the delivery person, a card will be left to give you instructions to either arrange a redelivery or to collect it from your local sorting office.
Please note that in a multiple occupation building, anyone in the building is allowed to sign the parcel to confirm its receipt. Every parcel service considers an item as delivered once a signature at the designated address is achieved. It is your responsibility to ensure that the recipient is at the delivery address, or to obtain the delivered parcel from the signatory.

Return policy

As you can appreciate, being a reputable company, we endeavor to satisfy all of our customer's needs. In the unlikely event that there is a problem with your purchase, you can return the item to us. Please contact us within 3 working days after receiving the item if you have any concerns so that we can discuss it and decide how to resolve the matter with you. We accept returns excluding our delivery costs, providing the customer returns the item (at his expense) to us in its original condition within 20 days of receipt. Unfortunately, we do not refund shipping or postage costs; this would be the responsibility of the buyer. We also charge a re-stocking fee of 10% of the cost of the item(s). This offer does not apply to items inspected prior to purchase or collected by the customer.
